The book is very well written and offers a glance into how people with autism think, how they approach the world and their reactions to that world. The author notes of course that every case of autism differs, and so his experiences with his son may or may not resemble other children who have autism. While the book has some anecdotes, it is not strictly a book of anecdotes. Rather, it is split up into chapters which are very informative on the steps an autistic parent may find themselves taking (ex. Chapter 1 "He Is Autistic" Chapter 2 "Playing The Cards You Have Been Dealt", etc.,), and those chapters are highlighted by personal stories from the author's own experiences with his family.I highly recommend this book for anyone to read. I especially recommend it for parents and teachers, but I think anyone could benefit from reading this book.
